OTTER & WILDLIFE
As a public health precaution due to COVID-19, we are temporarily closing the park and as a result will not be opening as planned on April 1st.
We will provide updates on social media and on our website.
Opening dates 2020: 1st April to 31st October (incl.) 10:30 - 18:00 (last entry 16:30)
Except Saturday 3rd and Saturday 10th October 2020 when the Centre will be closed.
On your visit to the Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre you will see British and Asian Short Clawed Otters playing and being fed close at hand.
There are Fallow Deer in a woodland enclosure and you will see Wallabies and Muntjac Deer roaming around the 21 acre grounds.
We have several Owl species and other birds of prey.
Enter the wildwood and you will come across Deer and Birds of Prey, Check out the Meerkats from the walkway and see the Servals before walking to the Old Quarry and tranquil Quarry Pool.
The Centre is owned and run by Mandy and John Allen and is funded by the income received from visitors. Conservation activities, especially otter rehabilitation, are paid for from this income; we receive no external funding.

The Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre is situated at North Petherwin, 5 miles northwest of Launceston off the B3254 road to Bude in Cornwall.
Guided School Trips during the open season.
The Otters are fed at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
Birds of Prey talks at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
We regret that due to free roaming wildlife no dogs are allowed on-site.
Public footpath accessed from car park and water always available for dogs.
We advise you to wear sturdy footwear/wellies especially during or after wet weather!
