The Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre was originally established to re-home and breed the British Otter and reintroduce young otters back into the wild at a time when numbers in the wild were falling. Due to the success of this program the wild population is at a sustainable level and the reintroduction program is currently on hold.

As well as otters, you can also find deer, wallabies, and many varieties of birds in the centre while strolling through the woods to our waterfall.
